Elmos, supplier of analog/mixed-signal semiconductors for automotive sensor and control solutions, and technology and development service provider Intellias have agreed on a strategic partnership for the development of automotive software. Elmos is thus able to offer more comprehensive hardware-software solutions and thus move further up the automotive food chain.
According to the agreement, Intellias will support Elmos with software engineering expertise to develop innovative software solutions for lighting, range, and optical sensors used in modern vehicles.
In addition to software development, the partnership is expected to bring further benefits to Elmos. Intellias will support the chipmaker in implementing and optimizing processes, methods, and tools (PMT) that guarantee a more efficient workflow, higher quality of software products, and strict control of project implementation. This support will enable Elmos to offer OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers more comprehensive solutions that ensure higher efficiency and safety in critical vehicle functions. The knowledge exchange between Elmos and Intellias has already begun and provides a strong foundation for Elmos’ Area 21 Software Division.
