Turkish electronics maker Vestel has joined the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) in the UK as part of its roadmap to become one of Europe’s leading suppliers of affordable EV charging solutions.
With the new products covering home users, commercial premises, and infrastructure hubs, Vestel has the capacity to produce over 700,000 EV chargers per year and aims to become Europe’s leading supplier of affordable EV charging solutions.

Vestel has launched a wide range of its own-brand EV charging solutions to the UK this year, including the residential and light commercial EVC04 charger and the commercial EVC10 dual-output model for businesses, as well as the soon-to-be launched EVC06 commercial urban fast DC charging station and small residential focused EVC01 ‘Mini’.
The launch of own-brand products lowers the cost of ultra-reliable charging solutions for the growing UK market. With the European EV charging market set to grow exponentially over the next decade, Vestel is using its manufacturing economies of scale with its own brand charging solutions, set to significantly lower the cost of EVC installation.
The Turkish manufacturing giant is better known as the OEM partner behind 1 in every 3 TVs and display screens sold in Europe, but it has been designing, engineering, and producing EV charging solutions for household name brands for over five years. From small residential chargers to the largest commercial units, a broad range of charging devices already installed in homes, car parks and service stations across the UK.
Vestel City in Manisa, Turkey, is Europe’s biggest single-site manufacturing complex, where a dedicated EV division has been designing and manufacturing EV charging solutions for household name brands for over five years.
SMMT is one of the largest and most influential trade associations in the UK with 800 automotive companies and gives Vestel a forum to voice its views on issues affecting the sector, helping to guide strategies and build positive relationships with Government and regulatory authorities.
